Surrey-based experimental pop and folk artist Hannah Scott is one of my favourite discoveries for this blog, but I’ve not had a chance to share any of her music since 2021, so I was so glad to find out she had a new release. A story of honesty and letting go, it’s called Into Your Grief.

We can all be guilty of filtering ourselves out of fear of being rejected by or upsetting others, and that’s what Hannah’s owns up to in Into Your Grief. I most certainly can relate, and Hannah brings the emotion so beautifully to life through this intimate, piano-led rumination.
Into Your Grief will feature on her upcoming EP Ancient Lights, a collection of old tracks that Hannah felt deserved a new audience. You can give the track a listen below and, if you’re in London, you can catch Hannah live at The Green Note, Camden on 7 March.
