UK-based Americana singer songwriter Katie Nicholas is an artist who has just hit my radar thanks to her beautifully poetic new track and lyric video Sitting Ducks.

Sitting Ducks opens with a delicate acoustic guitar arrangement before Katie’s compelling vocals come in. Joni Mitchell-esque, the track builds to a cinematic chorus complete with strings. What captured my attention the most, though, were Katie’s lyrics that are rich in natural imagery.

The track is the third single from her Feather EP. Based on the evidence of Sitting Ducks, it’s an EP not to be missed. You can check out the lyric video for the single, produced by Katie, below.
