The Sound Scientists are an American jazz fusion band who have just caught my attention thanks to their laidback new performance video for their track Can’t Not.

Can’t Not opens with a funky and memorable bassline before smooth and soulful vocals come in. There’s something wonderfully familiar yet fresh about it all. The delicious sax solo is simply the icing on the cake.

The Sound Scientists are Bryce St. Peter on vocals, sax and songwriting, Adam Kormondy on keyboard and piano, Sky Bartlett on bass and Spencer Reynen on drums and percussion.
