Discovery: Tallulah Rendall

Frome-based acoustic folk singer songwriter Tallulah Rendall has just hit my radar thanks to her rendition of an age-old mantra. It’s called Gayatri Mantra.

By Graeme Smith

As you’d expect, the track is a delicately meditative one. Tallulah chose to recite the mantra because of the impact it had on her own life, and it’s a beautiful rendition to share it with the rest of us. Her vocals are utterly mesmerising, delivered against a minimal, percussive backdrop. As the track progresses, the instrumentals build into an immersive soundscape that will have your worries melt away.

Gayatri Mantra is the forth single from Tallulah’s upcoming sixth album Love Carries Me Home, set for release in the Autumn. The album is produced by Grammy-winner Danton Supple.
