New Music: Chloe Leigh – Dejame Vivir

Brighton-based alternative folk singer songwriter Chloe Leigh first came to my attention last winter thanks to her beautifully illustrative track House By The Sea. Now she’s back in the blog with something a little different. It’s called Dejame Vivir.

By Graeme Smith

Dejame Vivir is bilingual, sung in both English and Spanish, yet its main language is that of deep emotion. Written as a means of letting go of an abusive relationship, Chloe’s lyrics are raw and honest yet the track’s instrumental arrangement has something a lightness about it, led by acoustic guitar and with a movement-inducing tempo.

The track was put together with the help of Kieron Pepper on bass, organ and arrangement at South Lane Studios, Brighton. Drums come from Jacob Andrews, engineering from Robert Smyth, mixing by Bessi Massey and mastering by Coda Mastering. You can give Dejame Vivir a listen below.
