London-based alternative rock duo Apple Shakers have been on our radar since May last year when I discovered them through their track Silhouette. Two more shares of their music followed and now they’re making their first return to these pages of 2023. Their latest is called Fight.

Fight is a track that delves deep, depicting a world trapped in a cycle, reflecting our current politically, financially, emotionally and spiritually turbulent times. Instrumentally, it conveys this beautifully with a tense and looping arrangement while attitude vocals spit poetic lyrics. I love a jam with a message, and Fight is that.
