Grenoble, France-based art pop artist Gintsugi first hit my radar last month thanks to her delicate lullaby Complete. I enjoyed it so much that I just had to share its follow up. Taking things in a more lively direction, it’s called Hex.
By Graeme Smith
Hex is a song for those who care only for themselves, with its lyrics serving as a warning that selfishness will eventually backfire. The message is delivered through tense piano and percussion and vocals that are somewhere between singing and spoken word. Just as with Complete, it’s Gintsugi’s unique point of view and style that makes Hex so electric.
Both tracks will feature on her upcoming album The Elephant In The Room set for release in October in collaboration with SONO Music Group and Beautiful Losers Records. You can give Hex a listen below.
