Ben Murphy is a North-west London-based artist who has just caught my attention with his intimate and honest new pop rock track The Edge.

Ben wrote The Edge on a broken piano in Euston station after missing his last train home. There’s a “2am thoughts” kind of vide to it, mulling life over in one’s head and arriving at no real conclusion. It’s delivered through soulful vocals and a vibrant, indie rock-infused soaring pop arrangement that fans of Sam Fender will appreciate.
Having been creating music since the age of six, Ben got his formal education in song writing just down the road in Leeds. He’s featured on BBC Introducing and is making a splash on Spotify and social media. He’s definitely one to watch.
