Oxfordshire and London-based indie folk singer songwriter Katherine Nora has featured a couple of times on this blog before. She first came to our attention last summer thanks to her warm-weather track Bloom. That was followed up by Sycamore in the autumn. Now she’s back with another summer anthem. It’s called church lane.
By Graeme Smith
There’s an understated vibrancy about church lane. It opens gentle and intimate but with an instrumental arrangement that gradually builds, eventually reaching a rousing climax. The star of the show is, as always, Katherine’s vocals. She soulfully tell a story of seeking inner peace through wilderness.
The track is taken from Katherine’s upcoming EP Songs From Church Lane. I, for one, can’t wait to hear it. You can listen to church lane below.
