Say Anise, real name Emily Barnett, is a London-based singer songwriter who has featured on our blog a couple of times before. Way back in 2018, Jane discovered her for us through her track Fill It Up, and then she returned to the pages in 2020. It’s been awhile, but now she’s back. Her latest is called For Tomorrow.

Say Anise’s latest is about not wanting to wait for the life that you want. The story is told through delicate and intimate folk pop and Emily’s charismatic and compelling vocals. As the track progresses it builds to something bright and releasing, hitting a soaring and life-affirming climax.

For Tomorrow was recorded with producer Joey Walker at RYP Studio and features the vocals of Adrien Latgé. The track will feature on Say Anise’s upcoming EP, set for release later this summer. You can give For Tomorrow a listen below.
