British pop singer songwriter Amber T has made a few appearances on this blog now. She first featured in Jane Female Voices round up around this time last year. I then followed that up with shares of her video Ripped Jeans and her single Contagious. Now’s she’s back with another new one. It’s called Why Try.

Why Try was written during coronavirus lockdown when Amber was just sixteen years old. It’s a frustrated shout of a track delivered through lively pop rock, with all the catchiness we’ve come to expect from Amber. At the same time, it shows an evolving sound from a young artist who clearly has a lot more to come from her career.

Amber now has ten singles under her belt and has become the youngest ever ambassador for Yamaha Music London. She’s worth keeping an eye on. Amber T could be the next big name in pop.
