Regular readers of the blog will know how much we’re fans of Denver, USA-based duo Sugar Nova. Consisting of Luke Miller from the band Lotus and Rachel Eisenstadt from Raven Jane, the pair have been delighting us since the end of last year. Now they’re back with a new remix of their single Send Me Higher courtesy of Chalk Dinosaur.

Chalk Dinosaur is the project of Pittsburgh, USA-based John O’Hallaron. Known for their jamband, rock, indie pop and electronic production, they could be considered giants stateside. His take on Send Me Higher transforms it into a throwback funk track reminiscent of the likes of Chromeo or Donna Summer. None of the charisma of the original is lost, particularly Rachel’s vocals which remain utterly mesmerising.
