Australian singer songwriter Georgia Hoareau has featured a few times before on this blog. She first came to our attention around this time last year when her track Oh Well was included in Jane’s Rock! roundup. Jane followed that up with a share of her EP Wish Somebody Told Her in April, as well as posing her a few questions in a Q&A. Now it’s my turn to share her music. Her latest is called Only One.

As we plunge into winter here in the UK, it’s easy to forget that summer is only just beginning on the other side of the world. Only One is a track for those warm, bright days delivering vibrant and emotional folk pop. It opens gently and vulnerable before building to a climactic chorus where Georgia leaves it all out there.
Despite still being in her teens, Georgia’s making quite a splash in her native Queensland, being nominated for awards, playing prominent festivals and supporting big name Australian artists. She definitely deserves some international attention and I’m happy to give it.
Only One was co-written by Georgia with Sydney-based singer songwriter Patrick James. You can give it a listen below.
