Kelsie Kimberlin is a Washington DC, USA-based artist who has just come to my attention thanks to her new track and video, the third of a trilogy filmed in war-hit Ukraine this year. It’s called Turn Back.

Inspired by the words of Ukraine’s President Zelensky at the Grammys, Kelsie is using her music right now to draw attention to the war in there. Her track and video Turn Back really brings the reality of it to light, something that can be easily forgotten when only getting the headlines. It tells a tale of hopeful reunion, with those who have fled, and with those who are fighting, through soft yet striking emotional pop.
