Rob Eberle is a New York, USA-based singer, songwriter and producer who has just come to my attention through his tale of a one-sided relationship, Half of You.
By Graeme Smith
Growing up in a musical family, Rob started playing guitar at eight years old, and took up song writing at the age of twelve. The pandemic quarantine allowed him to super-charge his focus, and during it he taught himself piano and production. Though still young, he has a sound that belies his years.
Half of You is a wonderful introduction to it, at once channelling the drama and emotion of being a teenager with some astute musical choices. The result is an accessible soft pop track, brimming with storytelling lyrics and driven by a compelling piano melody.
Having already played at SXSW Festival, and sold out a headline show in Manhattan, Rob is currently working with Coca-Cola to produce exclusive content. I can see a bright future ahead of him.
