It’s been awhile since we last featured American singer songwriter Clara Lars, so her music is well overdue a share. She first featured on these pages in 2022 through her track and video Count, Count, Count and I was immediately struck with her inventive sound.

Her latest is called Nobody’s Tired and explores the feeling of being overwhelmed by life and wanting to escape. It’s a relatable story, one I’m sure we’ve all experienced at some point, and Clara brings it to life beautifully thanks to her well-observed lyrics, characterful vocals and an instrumental arrangement that grows from the stripped-back to become rich and cinematic.

Still young, Clara continues to impress with a fresh sound that belies her limited years. Her latest single is a must-listen.
