Southend-on-Sea-based band The Trusted have been all over our pages since 2022, always delighting with their brand of melodic pop rock.

Jane was so taken with their style that she even interviewed them last year, and I never miss a chance to share new music from them. Their latest is a timeless tale of unrequited love called Miracle Face.

Opening with a laidback groove, the emotion slowly ramps up alongside the instrumental before we get vocals unexpectedly enhanced with vocoder. A sense of wistfulness prevails through it all, and a soaring chorus will have you swaying along. Hints of ELO’s prog meet the gentle rock of The Police, and the anthemic style of 1975.
