Inspired by a trip to Nashville where the band’s frontman Kevin Franco quickly got used to being called ‘sweetheart,’ ‘honey,’ or ‘darlin” by the waitresses he’d encounter, Darlin’ is the latest single from The Muster Point Project.

The Muster Point Project has appeared twice before on our blog, featuring as part of Jane’s Old School Cool roundup in 2024. She followed that up by interviewing them.
Their latest single Darlin’ it’s a fun track full of country rock swagger and plenty of storytelling in its lyrics. Kevin’s vocals have plenty of charisma. It’s no surprise all those waitresses took a shine to him. Traces of organ give it an almost gospel feel, especially during a climactic crescendo.
Kevin plays all instruments on the track with the exception of the drums which are handled by Marcello Effori. Darlin’ is out now and you can give it a listen below.
