Leeds-based rockers Caro have featured before on our blog, but it’s been a while. They last graced our pages way back in 2018.

So, they’re well overdue a return and they’ve done it in style through their latest single, Fuss About. Opening with a staccato groove, characterful vocals quickly come in, delivering memorable, poetic lyrics in the verse before things become almost hypnotic in the chorus.
Just as you think you’ve got a handle on the track, things take an unexpected, stripped-back turn before building back for an erratic crescendo. I’ve heard very little like it.
Lyrically, the track explores how depression can become familiar and one can steel oneself against the latest low. The ups and downs of the instrumental reflect this mental health journey to a tee.
Fuss About is out now and you can give it a listen below.
