Before moving into country music, Jessica Clemmons, the eponymous Jess of Jess and the Bandits was a solo pop-soul artist. It was a career that brought her to our fair shores where she recorded her debut album in the UK. A move back Stateside to Nashville spurred her change in sound. It was a move that would land her on the playlist of BBC Radio 2 and a tour slot for Boyzone.

This all acted as a prelude for her newly-released album, Jessica, which gives us ten tracks of swaggering country pop that ranges from the feelgood to the swinging to the emotional to the defiantly delicate. Joining Jess on the record are Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Ty Herndon, Jeff Cohen, Natalie Hemby, and more.

Jessica is out now and you can give it a listen below.
