Originally hailing from Prague, Czechia and now based in New York, USA, Sophie So is a new to these pages thanks to the first single release from her upcoming debut EP.

Brave Thing is a track all about taking risks, and pays homage to the musical trailblazers like Bjork and Lorde. Sophie takes their ethereal, experimental sound and makes it her own during an intimate number that’s full of poetry. Her vocals are utterly captivating during an understated verse before things build with overlapping layers to a powerful finish.

Sophie’s career is starting on such a strong foot; I’m very excited to see where she’ll take it. Her EP is set for release in April 2025 and I’ll be first in line to hear it.
