York Calling favourite Estella Dawn maintains a punishing release schedule, yet the quality of each new release never seems to drop. If anything, she’s getting better and better.

We get the usual sultriness and edge, along with the memorable lyricism we come to expect from her, in her new single, Move Down Lover. There’s a sensualness to it that makes it beautifully compelling, along with plenty of attitude and timeless soul. A wandering guitar solo adds an element of Santana-esque classic rock to proceedings.
“It’s about emotional power-play—being wanted, being in control, and being undone all at once,” Estella Dawn says of the track. “It’s vulnerable, yes, but also commanding. I wanted it to feel like a conversation between confidence and craving.”
Move Down Lover is out now and you can give it a listen below.
