Leeds-based soul-pop artist MAAME explores the quiet ache of self-doubt and the unexpected power of being seen in her new single, Beautiful.

Beautiful is an intimate effort from MAAME, combining delicate guitar in the first verse with her strikingly soulful vocals. The chorus packs an emotional punch; it’s there that the vocals become their most powerful, fluttering expressively over a soaring instrumental. The passion doesn’t let up from there and the track finally arrives at a textured, understatedly groovy close.

The track was produced by Hughie Gavin (JAKL) and co-producer Chris Durkin.

MAAME is originally from Kent and now based in Leeds. Her soul-pop sound is influenced by the likes of BENEE, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Minnie Riperton.
