Telling a story of the wisdom of old age, Old Man is the new single from Hull’s Ben Farr.

Lively old school rock and roll is the order of the day with Old Man. It’s a track that bounces along with a classic swagger while Farr emotes its simple but effective story well. Things stay nicely jangly throughout while the vocals show plenty of Yorkshire grit. A move-inducing guitar solo is a highlight.

The track marks Farr’s first return to our pages since 2023. Back then, he debuted here with his single On The Radio, which Jane described as being “gorgeous.” I’m pleased to be bringing him back. Old Man is a storytelling wonder. The single is out now and you can give it a listen below.
