York Theatre Royal seeks young actors! for Robin Hood: The Arrow of Destiny auditions on Saturday 20 May.

Once again, the team at York Theatre Royal are on the lookout for young people to be part of its summer spectacular Robin Hood: The Arrow of Destiny.

The search is on for a young cast of three teams of ten young people to play the parts of Villagers and Merry People. There will also be the opportunity to work with puppets!

York Theatre Royal’s Artistic Director, Damian Cruden said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to join us and take part in our swashbuckling summer show. We need not just one, but three teams of enthusiastic young people, who will all be able to experience the excitement of being on the stage of one of the country’s most beautiful theatres. I’m really looking forward to the auditions and working with some of the community’s talented young performers.”

Applicants should be aged between 8 – 15 years and must be available for rehearsals scheduled to take place from 8 July, and for the “tech week”, which is during the school holidays and begins on 31 July.  The production runs from 4 August – 2 September 2017 but it is not necessary to be available for all the dates.
