Femme46 are an electro pop band from Sweden who provide a fresh new take on the girl band sound.

Their new track Line Up starts with a rumbling bass line and whispered vocals. It lulls you into a false sense of security before the chorus hits you. That bass line becomes funky as hell and the harmonies pile up.

It feels about time another girl band comes to take the crown and Femme46 are definitely contenders with their fresh but familiar sound. To me, they seem to take their cues from the likes of Girls Aloud, and even as far back as Bananarama, but have also injected their music with modern trends a la Billie Eilish.
