Pizza Crunch are a Glasgow-based alternative rock outfit who take their cues from ’80s post-punk and modern ’00s rock. They’ve just released their latest single, a heady mix of emotional lyrics and wandering guitar riffs. It’s called Wilting Youth.

Wilting Youth is a track that isn’t quite melancholic, nor is it bright and happy. Rather, it invokes both a smile and a tear as you absorb its storytelling lyrics, and get lost in its sonic soundscape. In that way, it’s distinctly British and I was reminded of acts like Joy Division and The Lightning Seeds while listening.
Pizza Crunch are Ewan Hearns on guitar and vocals, Nathan Stokoe on guitar, Craig McDermott on bass and Ewan Nicholson on drums. They’ve not been together for long but have already caught the attention of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq among other influencers. They’re definitely ones to watch. You can check out Wilting Youth below.
