Megan Slankard is a San Francisco, USA-based indie pop singer songwriter who has just released her new breakup song and video. It’s called California.

There are a lot of breakup songs out there but Megan sets herself apart in California through her storytelling lyrics. They are powerfully visceral, rich is autobiographical detail and genuine emotion. An understated first verse leads nicely into an explosive first chorus and from there the track hits a country pop groove.

The video, directed and shot by Dan Foldes of Pint of Soul, sees Megan take her bike up and down the hills of the beautiful city of San Francisco. You can check it out below.
