East Grinstead-based singer songwriter Amber T first featured on our blog as part of Jane’s Female Voices round up in September where she impressed with her unique style of pop. Now it’s my turn to run the rule over her new track and video Ripped Jeans.

Ripped Jeans opens with a bright pop rock style. The percussion is driving and the guitar riff is brimming with longing. The star of the show is Amber’s vocals though. Soaring and charismatic, they are utterly captivating. As the track progressed I found Sam Fender coming to mind – there’s a similar style of relatable commercial pop rock in Amber’s music.

We’re not the only ones buzzing about Amber right now. Sir Elton John described her as “brilliant” and who am I to disagree? You can check out the video for Ripped Jeans below.
