Mince are a post-punk band from just down the road in Leeds. Formed in 2021 by school friends Jamie Haddington, Owen Bennett and George McDermott, the three rounded off their current line-up with Clem Pulham Creagh on bass and Matthew Banks on drums. Their latest track is a homage to being care-free. It’s called Misprint.

Misprint wastes no time getting down and dirty. Heavy riffs set the early pace before half-spoken, half-screamed vocals join the melee. The track speaks of the worries our minds invent for ourselves, and you get that sense of anxiety and paranoia from the composition. The advice is to let it all go, and, if you let yourself, you can do that by throwing yourself around to this track.
Mince’s debut single Ditch garnered support from Steve Lamacq, Shell Zenner and Chris Moyles. You can now count us here at York Calling among their fans. Hopefully you will be too. You can check out Misprint below.
