Southend-on-Sea-based rockers The Trusted have featured a few times on this blog now. It all started in September last year when Jane discovered them for us through their track Arkansas. Earlier this year, I shared their single Doomsday and more recently they appeared in Jane’s Sedimentary Rock roundup. Their latest is an lively but introspective one. It’s called Burning The Night.

The Trusted’s latest comes with an experimental 5/4 time signature, instantly setting it apart from a lot of rock out there. It powers along broodingly, telling a story of irrational, late-night jealousy and destructive emotions. Written by lead singer Tom, it’s a story told from experience. The Trusted are a band truly giving us something new and exciting. They’re welcome on this blog anytime.
Burning The Night was recorded, mixed and produced by Rees Broomfield of SS2 Studios. You can give it a listen below.
