The Ordinary Boys at The Duchess

On Sunday, Brighton based band The Ordinary Boys played a small show at The Duchess in York. Whilst attendance to the gig was relatively slim, the dedicated fans (known as The Ordinary Army) more than made up for it with their passion and enthusiasm for the band. Vant at The Duchess

London-based upstarts Vant popped into The Duchess on their current UK tour on Friday. The four-piece fronted by the eponymous Mattie Vant have been making waves across the UK alternative music scene, picking up DJs on Radio 6 Music and Radio 1’s Zane Lowe as they go. Joining them for their York date were local acts …And the Hangnails and The Goodnight Ladies.

Prides at The Duchess

Tuesday night saw Glasgow’s Prides come to The Duchess. The synthpop trio shot to international fame in 2014 when they performed at The Commonwealth Games closing ceremony and released their debut album ‘The Way Back Up’ earlier this year.
