EP Review: Viscula – We Are One Body

Viscula are a rock band who have featured a couple of times before on the blog. Formed in Lutsk, Ukraine twenty years ago, they are now globetrotters, spending time recording in places such as China, USA and here in Britain. Their EP We Are One Body was originally recorded in 2017 during their America phase, but has only found its way to release last month.

One of the few silver linings of the COVID pandemic was that it allowed many of us to take pause and think about our priorities. This was the case for Roseburg, USA-based blues rock outfit Widespread Haze. With studios shut and gigs off the menu due to the pandemic restrictions, the trio set about recording their debut album themselves. Move is the result.

Discovery: Bloodyarvo

Bloodyarvo is a product of multi-instrumentalist and frontman Ariq’s experience of coronavirus isolation. To get through what was a difficult time for him (and all of us) he turned to song-writing. This has now culminating in the band’s debut single Feel My Heart Sleeps.
